I just want to say for the record that I really don’t like breastfeeding. We are pretty much past the pain now and Adam is latching pretty well. But it is such a chore to me. I do it because I don’t want to be fixing bottles in the middle of the night and I know Adam is getting my immunities which is important right now with the flu so prevalent. BUT. I still dread it almost every time I have to feed him.

How’s Adam’s arm doing? Is he all healed up?

I always liked it because I HAD to sit down and take a time out. That is my time with Gavin, uninterrupted (most of the time! Ha!), and a good excuse to let Bryan help out with the other kids while we relax together. Hope it turns into something better soon :)

I think it takes about 2 months to start enjoying breastfeeding. In the beginning it seems that’s all they do. As time goes by it seems so much easier. If you supplement with formula once a day it can give you a much needed break for now.

Good for you for doing it even though you don’t like it. :) Every little bit helps, and it’ll be behind you before you know it. :) It’s great that there can be so many different views on the same activity.

I’m with Laurie though, I enjoy the “break”. With Corgan, I think I fed him laying down on my side about 80% of the time, so it was always a welcomed time out. :)
