I just want to say for the record that I really don’t like breastfeeding. We are pretty much past the pain now and Adam is latching pretty well. But it is such a chore to me. I do it because I don’t want to be fixing bottles in the middle of the night and I know Adam is getting my immunities which is important right now with the flu so prevalent. BUT. I still dread it almost every time I have to feed him.

How’s Adam’s arm doing? Is he all healed up?

I always liked it because I HAD to sit down and take a time out. That is my time with Gavin, uninterrupted (most of the time! Ha!), and a good excuse to let Bryan help out with the other kids while we relax together. Hope it turns into something better soon

I think it takes about 2 months to start enjoying breastfeeding. In the beginning it seems that’s all they do. As time goes by it seems so much easier. If you supplement with formula once a day it can give you a much needed break for now.

Good for you for doing it even though you don’t like it.
Every little bit helps, and it’ll be behind you before you know it.
It’s great that there can be so many different views on the same activity.
I’m with Laurie though, I enjoy the “break”. With Corgan, I think I fed him laying down on my side about 80% of the time, so it was always a welcomed time out.
